Home Education Resources and Opportunities (HERO)
is offering a parent workshop on April 28 from 7-9pm. It is free to all
members of HERO and $3 for non-members. Limit is 24. Please call

How art helps children grow. Workshop will
include:
- Know the difference between arts and crafts.
- Separate the art process from the art product.
- Know how the arts teach developmental skills.
- Know which skills are developed and how.
- Know about the right side of the brain.
- Know the theory of learning by doing.
- Know how to define creativity.
Lisa Mares is the owner and founder (1996) of
Artworks, an art studio for children. She has eighteen years experience
working with children. Lisa has two Bachelors degrees, one in Philosophy and one
in English. Lisa also has an Associates Degree in Business Management.
