At first glance, this looks like the story we have all grown up with, but there is a twist. Geppetto is a young, not old, carpenter and the Blue Fairy finds him very attractive . . . enough in fact, to hope to marry him someday. As the story progresses, we watch Geppetto and the Blue Fairy fall in love and then discover that before Geppetto was a man, he too was a puppet boy named Pinocchio. Surprises abound in this wonderful story about love and hope and the importance of following the rules, no matter what the cost. |
