| This special session will focus on making your very own matoi, a beautifully decorated standard used by Japanese firefighting brigades to identify themselves, shield themselves from smoke and placed on buildings to identify the successful company's ability to extinguish a fire. Participants will design their own matoi using colorful strips of paper and Japanese patterns. Free with Museum admission. |
