We’ll check the riparian area below the dam for late migrants and arriving winter visitors, check the lake for loons and Greater Scaup, then spend the afternoon searching the fields around the New Braunfels airport for sparrows, longspurs and cranes. Meet leader Bob Doe at the parking lot on the SOUTH shore of the Guadalupe River, just below the Canyon Lake Dam. This is accessible from either Highway 281 or I-35 via state Highway 306 to the Canyon Dam turnoff. |
