 Greenhouse Interpretive Center

San Antonio, TX
Phone: 512-393-8447
Website: http://ci.san-marcos.tx.us/Parks_Greenhouse.htm
The Greenhouse Interpretive Center was established to increase public awareness and educate our community about ecology, history of the San Marcos River, its watershed and how to conserve our unique natural resources. The Greenhouse will act as a window on the San Marcos River through the display of native plants, animals, and artifacts. It will serve as a gateway to an extensive nature trail along the San Marcos River and throughout the Park System. The center's location at IH-35 and proximity to the river make it a highly visible and accessible site for environmental education. It will provide hands-on learning experiences about the natural world throughout the year for visitors, the community, and area schools.
