Resource: Gifted at Home

San Antonio, TX
Website
Email:giftedathome-owner@yahoogroups.com

A forum and resource for people in the greater San Antonio Area who are homeschooling their gifted children. Not affiliated with any particular religious group, --all-- parents who have felt the need to remove their children from school or keep them at home to meet their unique needs as gifted learners are welcome. This group is to help support the gifted child's unique situation and the parents that support their education. By gifted I mean children who read early, learn without repetition, have intense and voracious interests, active and intense imaginations and/or high IQs. Like any other child with special needs, gifted children are unique in that the public, and often private, educational institutions have no models (or funding, and limited mandates) to meet their educational needs.
