Families and students explore narrative in the work of Jacob Lawrence, an artist who painted historical events. Guided gallery exercises and studio art activities combine to offer an experience rooted in both art and history.
Space is limited and registration is required. Fee (applies to adults only; students attend free): McNay Members $10, nonmembers $25. Register online at mcnayart.org/workshops or e-mail . Registration deadline: February 19. Program is suitable for students aged 5-11, and students must be accompanied by an adult. Feel free to picnic on the grounds afterward.
