Youth Service Award Nominations

Do you know any high school students with at least 20 hours of service this school year? We’d love for you to nominate them for an Inspiring Service Award; it will just take a minute.

So far this year, more than 1,200 college and high school students have earned national recognition for the time they spend volunteering, tutoring, organizing fundraisers and collection drives, etc. These awards are attainment-based because we believe that every student who takes the time to volunteer for at least 20 hours should be celebrated. We want more people to see the good these students are doing and encourage them to stay committed to helping others.

You are welcome to nominate as many students as you feel might qualify. The nomination form should literally take a minute to complete – your name, your nominee’s name & email and one sentence about the nominee.

We will contact your nominee(s) and invite them to apply. The process is easy – they’ll create an account and add any/all of their service activities since June 1, 2017. Each entry requires a few basic details and a photo. In the process, the system dynamically builds a service resume that the student could use to stand out when applying to college, for scholarships and awards and even summer jobs.

Please let me know if you have any questions. The deadline for students to apply this year is April 15. Again, the link to the nomination form is here: http://sgiz.mobi/s3/afc0e5fae1b7
