| Gemini Ink mission is to nurture writers and readers and builds community through literature and the related arts. In 1992, a group of published writers gave a public reading at a local bookstore and met with such success that a series of dramatized readings was produced. Classes that attracted avid participants soon followed. This growing public response led to the decision to incorporate, and in November 1997, Gemini Ink was awarded its not-for-profit 501(c)(3) status. The organization continues to grow at a rapid pace and currently includes four component programs: University Without Walls, Writers in Communities, Dramatic Reader's Theater, and The Autograph Series, free readings by internationally respected authors produced each spring and fall. |
