Tutoring and Co-op, Community Education, etc. Classes

I would like to introduce myself to you. My name is Jodie. I would like to tutor your students, provide supplemental tutoring, and/or help them with their homework. I can come to your student’s homes or meet them at a library to help your parents save both time and energy transporting their children to and from tutoring.

I have an Education Master’s of Science degree in Counseling and Guidance, plus 12-hours of post-graduate studies in the same field with a 3.89 GPA. I also have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, a Child Development Certificate, a Certification as a Job Coach, and certificates in both Personal Fitness Training and Rehabilitation Fitness Therapy.

I have many years of experience teaching and tutoring students of all ages, including pre-school children all the way up to college students and adults. I have taught all grade levels including preschool, elementary, middle school, high school, college, and adults.

I specialize in working with all students, but also students with learning and physical challenges, such as those with AD/HD, Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, auditory learning issues, speech and hearing impediments, students in wheelchairs, etc. I do not have any experience, however, working with students who have Downs Syndrome or Autism. I also specialize in working with students from other countries in ESL training them on how to communicate better in English through writing and listening skills, as well as verbally. I have worked with students for many years from Mexico, S. Korea, Egypt, and the Middle East.

I can teach and tutor all subjects, except 5th grade or higher Math. I specialize tutoring and teaching in the following subjects: Art, English/ESL, Phonics and Reading, Writing, Speech/Public Speaking, Fitness/Healthy Nutrition, Singing/Voice Lessons, Organizational Skills, Time Management Skills, Motivational Skills, Library and Research Skills, College Preparatory Skills, Test Taking Skills, Stress Management and Relaxation Skills, Empathic-Assertiveness, Anti-Bullying, and Healthy Boundary Setting Skills, Basic M.S. Word, Basic Photography and Editing, and Social Media (Facebook/Linkedin). My greatest strength is helping shy, meek students gain confidence by focusing on their assets and talents.

Lastly, I am also very interested in teaching co-op or other types of classes to your students. The next page has a list of some of the classes that I can teach children and teenagers. If your organization has a Tutor list, would you also mind adding me and my contact information to that list, please? I would also be more than happy to meet with you in person, if needed. Thank you so very much and I hope to hear from you in the near future.

Sincerely,

Jodie Mytro, M.S., B.A.

Room on the Broom

The witch and her cat are flying happily on their broomstick – until a stormy wind blows away the witch’s hat, bow and wand. A helpful dog, bird and frog find the witch’s lost things, and they all hop on the broom for a ride. But this broomstick’s not meant for five and – CRACK – the broom snaps in two! When a hungry dragon appears, who will save the poor witch? And will there ever be room on the broom for everyone?
