Art Time offers art classes for homeschoolers ages 6-12 on Tuesday mornings, starting September 9th at Hobby Lobby Stone Oak. The Art Time program develops creative thinking through art. Each class starts with a warm-up exercise that targets specific thinking skills and stimulates creative process. Then children apply what they’ve just learned to the art technique presented that day. Students will work with variety of high quality materials including oil pastels, paint sticks, soft pastels, foil, rice paper, watercolors, acrylics, clay and much more…
Some of the projects are designed in the styles of the world’s famous artists. While learning new art techniques and discovering different styles, it is up to the children to decide exactly how their art will turn out. There will be an Art Exhibit of children’s work at the end of semester.
